The overall aims and objectives of the MSc programme are to:
- Provide students with a knowledge base appropriate to a Masters level of learning (level 9).
- Provide students with the necessary knowledge to critically appraise and apply research methodologies.
- Develop the ability of students to critically examine assumptions and to question values, beliefs and policies underpinning health and health care, at individual and organisational level.
- Instill the skills necessary for students to develop as reflective practitioners with the confidence and awareness necessary to identify, influence, implement and evaluate evidence-based health care.
