Information Services Desk

The Information Services Desk is committed to supporting and assisting users become lifelong learners through the module based Information Literacy sessions embedded into the Medical and Nursing programmes. A qualified librarian is available to assist all users with personal queries and information need.

Research Assistance

Information Service Librarian will assist in customized literature searches for students, faculty and staff as needed. If you lack the time or expertise to perform your own literature searches, IS desk staff can assist by helping you construct search strategies specific to your field of research or study. 

Research requests and database searches for RCSI Bahrain students and staff are free of charge.  Non-affiliated or corporate requests will be charged a fee.

LRC workshops & instruction 

The LRC offers periodic workshops focusing on a specific area of research. Workshop topics  include: PubMed Advanced Searches, EBM Searches, Endnotes etc.

Current Awareness Service

Areas of research and study are constantly changing in the medical and allied health field. The Current Awareness Service enables you to keep up-to-date with recent developments in your subject area.The service includes:
• Journal contents email alerting services 
• New Additions alerts
