Blood donation drive

Staff and students at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland - Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) contributed more than 40 units to the Central Blood Bank, in the latest edition of the University's biannual blood donation drive.

The units of blood are expected to be used through public healthcare centres and government and private hospitals.

The team from Central Blood Bank once again took over the Busaiteen campus' Ibn Al-Baitar Clinical Simulation Centre, as part of an ongoing collaboration dating back to 2006.

The next blood drive, organised by the University's Community Outreach department, is set to take place next year.
