RCSI NURSING SOCIETY COLLABORATES WITH ASRY FOR A WEEK OF COMMUNITY SERVICE


It is now widely accepted that meaningful community involvement is absolutely central to the development of healthy, strong and sustainable communities. RCSI Bahrain students and staff have a long history of giving back to the community through financial support, service and volunteer efforts. The university is commitment to using its wealth of skills, facilities and knowledge, to make a positive contribution to the Bahrain society.

Nursing Society


The Nursing Student Society of RCSI Bahrain worked in collaboration with ASRY’s “Environment, Health and Safety Week” for 5 days from 4pm till 8pm. This society is in its infantry, as this is the first year it has existed and the collaboration is the first ever event. The 100 dynamic and passionate members used their skills and knowledge to assist with health checks.

Ms Noor Yousif Al Nahham and Ms Noora A.Latif Bu Allai, RCSI Bahrain nursing students, were keen to point out that the community service project “was a honour to be part of, and using our clinical skills to help the employees of ASRY and the general public was very rewarding for everyone involved”

An average of 250 people had their blood pressure, weight and height assessed over the course of 5 days. The final day saw a presentation and award ceremony at ASRY beach, in which RCSI Bahrain Nursing Society Students were acknowledge by the CEO of ASRY for their community services. They entertained children with games and activities, as part of their collaboration with the company.
