The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland- Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) held its annual dinner for both the faculty and graduands of the 2012 conferring class. Held at the Movenpick Hotel on the 5th of June, the dinner was attended by the graduating medical students and both academic and administration staff, mainly those involved in both the teaching and support function during their student medical training.
This was an opportunity for the students and staff to socialise on a professional level and reflect on their shared experiences in RCSI Bahrain. Student representative Erini Nassim addressed the 120 attendees and paid tribute to the outstanding training provided by academic staff at RCSI Bahrain. She thanked both the academic and administration staff at RCSI Bahrain, and the teaching hospitals and centres, for the support and guidance received, which made for a smooth passage through university life.

Volunteers for the Peer Assisted Learning Programme were also honoured for their support to their peers in a programme which guided by the Student Welfare Office. These included: Mina Hamid Siddiqui, Hiba Rashid, Marwa Al Baharna, Erini Nessim, Amal Hubail, Talal Hilal, Mona Al Banna, and Roshan Jacob all received certificates in recognition of their contribution.
